The North Gables is getting more eyes. Development Services reported on a beautification and enforcement initiative started July 29 that sends three to four code officers into the area several times a week, adds cameras at illegal-dumping hot spots, and works to catch trash and graffiti before residents report them.

What was discussed. Staff said dumping tends to move when a camera goes up, so more cameras have been added. The mayor said the city must not 'water down' its standards. Residents in attendance were thanked for reporting problems.
