Climbing Center Pitched for the Mobility Hub's Retail Level
Commission aides pitched a family climbing and recreation venue in about 6,900 square feet of retail space; the ramp question waits until December.

The city's planned Mobility Hub could include a climbing wall. Commission aides presented a concept for a family-friendly climbing and recreation center, with bouldering, tension boards and interactive walls, in the hub's retail level, which has about 6,905 square feet available.
What was discussed. Supporters said it would give families and young professionals another reason to come downtown, noting the closest option is at Dadeland. A separate question about the hub's ramp was deferred to December while Gensler studies options.
