City to Take Over Billboard Lease at West Flagler Site, with Revenue for Parks
The city is acquiring 1702 and 1714 W. Flagler St. and will give the billboard operator notice to end the lease.

A billboard on property the city is buying in Little Havana is headed for removal. The Commission approved a resolution letting the city manager take over the seller's role in an existing billboard lease with Clear Channel Outdoor at 1702 and 1714 W. Flagler St., property the city is already authorized to acquire, so the city can give 90 days' notice to end the lease. The manager can extend that date in writing.
Where the money goes. Any lease revenue the city collects in the meantime is restricted to parks in District 3.
