A Shenandoah lot zoned for a house is now zoned for a park. The Commission approved on second reading, without discussion, two ordinances for 2293 SW 17th Terrace: one changes the land-use map from single-family residential to public parks and recreation, and the other rezones the lot from T3-R (suburban, restricted) to CS (civic space).

Why it matters. The change is the zoning step for a planned Shenandoah dog park, which a resident referenced during public comment while questioning a separate dog-park allocation elsewhere in District 4.

What's next. The ordinances are adopted; design and construction come through the parks capital program.
