Miami's parks are short on staff and behind on repairs, the Commission heard in a discussion that included the closed bleachers at Little Haiti Soccer Park and more than $3 million needed for park air-conditioning. A full facility assessment is due at the end of October or early November.

School fields. Separately, staff said a joint-use agreement with Miami-Dade County Public Schools covering more than 50 schools, with about 15 sites for community use, was expected to be signed the following week.

What's next. The assessment will set priorities for the parks repair list.

Reported from the Sept. 24, 2026 City of Miami Commission meeting.
