Allapattah's new redevelopment agency now has a bank account. The Commission approved on second reading, as amended, an ordinance creating the Allapattah Community Redevelopment Trust Fund, which collects tax-increment money from taxing authorities within the district.

Project facts. The district is bounded roughly by State Road 112 to the north, I-95 and NW 7th Avenue to the east, the Miami River to the south, and NW 19th Avenue to the west. The ordinance sets the base year for calculating the increment, the timing of annual payments, permitted expenditures, an annual budget and an independent audit. The amendment added two resolution references to Section 18-265(E).

What was discussed. Nothing; it passed with SR 3, the reactivated driveway amnesty pilot.
