A lot at 3520 SW 17th Terrace is a step closer to allowing a duplex. On first reading, the Commission approved changing its land-use map designation from single-family residential to duplex residential and rezoning the southern portion from T3-R to T3-O.

Why it matters. T3-O allows two units on a lot where T3-R allows one, a small gentle-density change in a single-family area.

What's next. Both ordinances need a second reading. They passed in a block vote with no discussion.
